Pros:
Good handling - OK gas/mileage

Cons:
Costly engine repairs. Most frequently no mechanic will find out what the hell the problem is.

Review:
2001 Altima - 4 cyl. Bought it with 25K miles. Not even a year later the intake manifold gasket goes ($400) and I found out this is the #1 issues reported with the car. Then 3 years later the valve cover gasket is leaking like hell. What's worse now is that ALL the instruments on the dashboard go off while driving, power windows don't work and the car goes all the way to first gear and the engine looses all the power. Then after 5-10 min everything goes back to normal. I found out this was the #2 most frequent reported issue.

This car is crap - I will NEVER buy Nissan again.

Pros:
Good on gas, good looking; car ages well as long as you take care of it.

Cons:
Clear coat on aluminum wheels is chipping, power window regulators break, a/c condenser burnt out.

Review:
I am really happy with the overall quality of the car. Bought it used in 2004 with 28,000 miles and is still going strong at 71,000. I would buy another Altima in a minute. I just replaced the original battery last month. The only issue I have had with this car would be the power window motors. I have had to replace two of them so far. There is no warning, the window goes down you hear a loud clunk and the window does not come back up. I do have the extended warranty for 100,000 miles. If I had to actually pay for any of these repairs I probably wouldn't be as happy as I am with this car.

I find it very strange that I have to replace the head gasket on my Altima GXE with only 51,000 miles on it!! There have been quite a few complaints about this problem, but Nissan has not issued a RECALL. Why not, I wonder? This by the way, is an expensive job.

Pros:
Rides well and good gas mile.

Cons:
Not built to last over 5 years. Buying used one is nono. Overpriced with limited warranty and too many needed repairs.

Review:
Bought car used 50,000 miles in 2004. In 2006 and 97,000 miles, has and in need of too many repairs. Replaced struts, alternator pulley(2), and intake gasket. A/C compressor possibly going out (loud screeching noise when compressor engages), possibly needs heater core replaced, needs busted CV boot replaced. Not pleased at all with my used Altima.

was a cheap car in 2001, good price at the time

Cons:
Got a good 5 years 84000 miles but now its in need of a good amount of money (head gasket, struts, and normal tires, brakes, etc) so I am not sure i can speak to highly of the car.

Review:
This car had its quirks for 5 years and a rought 84000 miles but now it has a blown head gasket, its time to cut my losses.

Pros:
Interior design, exterior design, brakes, power. I really like the leather and how it looks.

Cons:
Not really anything.

Review:
My wife has a 2001 Nissan Altima, GLE. I guess you can say I inherited when we got married early this year. I just love this car. Have had any problems, very smooth, and the interior is really nice. Hope to get an Altima again when we are ready for a new car.

Pros:
Powerful 4 Cyl engine, nice trunk size, good handling and quiet engine.

Cons:
Nothing really. Good car for the price.

Review:
Nice car. Nothing has really gone wrong with it in 4 years of leasing except the a power window motor that gave out. It was replaced under warranty and other than that it has been great. The 4 cyl engine is peppy at 155hp although the mpg is supposed to be 22-29, it hangs around the lower end of that even on the highway. When I first bought the car it was better on the mpg.
