Pros:
I was happy with the uniqueness of this vehicle and the smoothness of
the ride.
|
|
Cons:
No support from Nissan after purchasing a $40,000.00 vehicle once it hit
100,000 miles. Isn't that the only con that should matter?

Review:
I have a 2003 Nissan Murano and I was driving and heard a slam and the
check engine light came on. I had to have it towed to our dealer. The
transmission went out on it. We contacted Nissan for help under the 'good
faith' policy they offer and they declined. I spoke with someone (a
specialist) that said, 'We aren't going to help you because your vehicle is
over 100,000'. The 'specialist' is actually a 'customer service
representative' He couldn't even tell me what improvements were made to the
transmission or what the 'good faith' policy covers. He basically told me
that I must have driven the vehicle rough in order for this to happen. I
would also like to add that the cat. converter also went out on this
vehicle.

Review:
1400 miles, had no steering because of alternator loose wire problem,
also suspension rods had to be replaced plus other problems. Lost control of
vehicle that had its own mind and targeted a cement garbage can than took
the ride further into a lamp posr. So I had damage to the front as well as
both right and left fender. The total replacement of parts came to $3,989.89
and since Nissan wrote me a letter...
"Nissan found no evidence of a defect, failure or malfunction. Based on the
inspection of the vehicle which to offer financial assistance in this
matter, which should be referred to my insurance company"
I didn't involve my insurance, instead decided to pay out of my pocket, for
the following.....
>>Repl R LWR FRONT SUSP CONTROL
>>Repl INR STEERING TIE ROD
>>Repl OTR STEERING TIE ROD
>>Repl 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT
>>>>>> Plus other various adjustment, paint and replace damaged parts. to
the tune of $3,989.89
not to mention that I also have the extended warranty.
.. A BRAND NEW CAR WITH 1400 + MILES AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE A VILLAGE IDIOT
WHO DOESN'T KNOW BETTER..I have news for them and it's one word and that is
SUE for physical and mental pain. I trusted Nissan even from before they
changed names and never ever had problems, but this time they've gone too
far.
All I can say go out and buy a Honda because they let you know right away if
there's a problem not like Nissan who waits until someone dies which I came
close to a hair.
