Great Truck - Too Many Rattles

Review:
I've owned my '04 Crew Cab LE for 9 months now and definitely love it for the most part. It has had rattles and squeaks since day #2 and spent and great deal of time at the dealership trying to correct them. I got tired of living at the dealership so I now keep a list of issues and have them taken care of at scheduled maintenance time. Not sure if I would buy over again...

A truck with a lot of potential ruined by brake problems. Nice features. Having to fix the brakes every 3,000-5,000 mi. is just too much- AND I'M NOT HARD ON BRAKES!

Review:
I want to start out by saying that I LOVE my 2004 Titan King Cab. It's cool looks, awesome performance, and all around value for the money will make it a classic in the years ahead. However, I am taking it in for the THIRD time in less than a year for the poor front brakes, which make the steering wheel shake practically out of my hands. On this site, I found the technical bulletin to properly repair the trouble, something I don't think my dealership ever bothered to take a look at, but now, I printed it up, and they will definitely do so now!

I love how this truck accelerates, the ride and handling. But, the problems seem to be never ending. Here is my partial list of problems: Windshield wipers don't wipe without chattering over 65. Defective headlight switch, replaced. Brake vibration, repaired but now it's back again. Defective radio, replaced. Defective Nav., replaced. Various window(s) problems

II bought a Crew cab new in Dec 04. The first (and last) time I waxed it I put a dent in the left rear door by normal wax application. The rear doors ar PAPER THIN with no internal support. The dealer says it's an "oil can dent" and to take it up with Nissan. Just try to contact them! The nice power plant & drive train are overshadowed by the chintzy sheet metal. Even the lowly Dodge trucks have better skin. The body designers should be shot. Never would have bought it if I noticed the lousy sheet metal.

Have had mine since sep 04 great truck with a few performance mods and appearance mods it is the hottest in town.....some little problems that taken care of by Nissan.....the pros absolutely out weigh any cons.....best full size truck I have owned and surely the hottest looking.

This is a really good truck. It has its strengths and weaknesses. I wouldn't trade it for anything else in its class. The power is great and it feels like you could tow your house behind the truck. I also like the radio and the ride. The AC and heat are flawless and quite capabable. The brakes feel mushy and I've had several repair attempts. The interior is full of rattles and the fit and finish are not up to even the weakest standard. I've tightened several screws that were loose when new so I think the QA is poor at the plant.

Dogs love it.

Great giddy-up. Cavernous cab with lots of standard features with the XE model
Cons:
No standard size bed for crew cab. Need a larger fuel tank. Worried about all the problems other owners are having with the '04 trucks.
Review:
Except for some minor problems such as the windows not working in the "Auto Up" mode (Dealer fix) and my 4Lo light flashing when driving in 2WD(Dealer don't have a clue how to fix), I'm very satisfied with the performance of the 5.6 engine.

Great power, but at the expense of mileage. Very well appointed, nice extras. Problems: breaks, window switches, floor heater, funny noises from A/C system, and LOTS of rattles; to many for 2500 miles 99.9% on road. I might purchase again if quality control improves. Never buy a first year model.

Review:
This truck is an excellent value. Nothing even comes close. The drivetrain is great and I don't lack for power at any speed. The brakes seem to be mushy but good enough. Mileage stinks but hey it's a truck. Interior is roomy and comfortable but the rattles and cheap materials are a major disappointment. Overall the truck is very good, much better than the competition.

I've waited 15 years for the Titan - No repair parts ??

Review:
I was so proud of my Titan (new Dec.'04). Now at 7300 miles I'm without it. rear differential problems and repair parts unavailable in GA. Time to let others know...Don't buy a Titan until they get this fixed !!
