Pros:

it looks great, I love the inside its very big and spacious

Cons:

transmission problems, little noises in the car

Review:

I bought a 2005 2.5 sl in November of last year i loved the interior so much, and I still do it is a very nice looking car. my girl friend was also looking for a car, so I told her about the Altima, and she bought one 2 weeks later. after we had our cars for 2 weeks we started noticing little noises with the car. with my car, if I was stopped at a light and I wanted to take off, when pressing the gas my car would go from 1st gear 3rd gear (i have an automatic). i just had my car taken in for an oil change and my mechanic looked at it and said that my transmission fluid was low, and there were no leaks. i have to take my car in to the shop to see what the problem is, i might have been sent out bad from the factory. I bought the car for $28,000 and now i wish i had bought something else. their transmission are very fragile. be careful

Pros:

Way too many to list

Cons:

The only thing I dislike about my Altima is that my lease goes up in six months, but i will either got a Maxima or another Altima

Review:

I have had my 2005 3.5 SL Altima for about a year and it is doing great. Every time I get in my Altima I have a smile on my face. I like the Altima because it make me look and feel young. I tried out a Camary and I felt like a little old lady. I am 66 and I feel like I am 26 in the Altima. In the Camary I felt 106.

Pros:

Definitely the Appearance. Roomy interior - tall people can sit in the back with no complaints.

Cons:

Stability.

Review:

I purchased my Altima in September of 2004. The appearance of the Altima was the real decision maker for me. I have had no problems yet, and hopefully it will stay that way. I am extremely happy with my choice, BUT this is my first car so I really have nothing else to compare it to.

I had a 2002 Altima and I had to have the engine and computer chip replaced at 53,000 miles (at not cost to me, Nissan paid the total cost) I loved my car so I decided to give the Altima another try. I just purchased a 2005 Altima and I am loving the new upgrades Nissan has made to the vehicle

Review:

I was very satisfied with my brand new 2005 Nissan Altima when I bought it. As of today, I get the feeling I made a mistake. On, February 28th my Nissan Altima "DIDN'T START"!! I got it towed to the dealership. They said "my car was flooded". My question is how can a fuel injected car get flooded? They have no idea what they are talking about. HELLO!!!

Pros:

Comfort, looks, option of EITHER Sirius (my choice) or XM satellite radio, navigation system, manual over-ride automatic transmission

Cons:

Obsolete or inaccurate road information in navigation system. I suggest a subscription update system for getting new DVDs and have info updates quarterly.

Review:

I have now owned my 2005 Nissan Altima for 3 months and still love it. My biggest complaint is that much of the DVD navigation information is just wrong. This is NOT Nissan's fault though... it is the software providor... Zenrin. Another issue that I wish they'd change is the display for satellite radio... long text is cut off, not scrolled. I also wish it gave the option to scroll more info. Can only see "artist" or "title", not both, without hitting a button to see the other. I guess that is being picky. I have had not problems with driving (except a speeding ticket). MPG info is pretty darn accurate. Unfortunately, I get in the lower 20s, but hey, it's better than my older, less powerful Ford Taurus which had a bigger engine.

Pros:

All out performance for a large midsize sedan. great torque and a robust sound to the engine. Very responsive to simple mods such as intake and exhaust. decent handling for such a vehicle.

Cons:

Poor quality. slightly darty over bumps on the SE model. traction control a must.

Review:

Nothing but problems with this car. bought it brand spanking new in may of 2004. since then the Altima has been in the shop 10 times and still needs to go back. I had my tires replaced before the recall and have also has both strut mounts replaced, another strut bushing, new rear sub frame connecter, several alignments, window regulators, windows runners multiple times, and something with the steering slide rack. i have another bad window regulator and molding in the upper rear corner of the driver side

Review:

I regret my buying of 2005 Altima. Problems: Since the very first week FRONT SHOCKERS (BOGE) HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOUR TIMES. I suspect that the SUSPENSION is the real problem but Nissan keeps changing shockers. This has been the case with other owners of Altima AND maxima 2005 I know. Right now the fifth occasion is 'in progress'. This letter is to ALERT BUYERS OF THIS RECURRENT AND UNSOLVED PROBLEM.

2005 Altima Seat Discomfort

Pros:

Body style is nice

Cons:

Very uncomfortable

Review:

I have now owned my 2005 Altima for 6 months and I don't like it anymore now that I did the first month. I owned a '98 Altima prior to this one and loved it, therefore, I purchased another one. The new seat design is extremely uncomfortable and I have been in a chiropractors office for a month. I have heard many people are just trading them in.
