Cons:

I will never buy another Altima, I am tired of the run around. Again, a "do not buy" in my book.

Review:

CONTINENTAL TIRES CONTINUED.... February 28, 2006. At 29,995 miles, I could not take it anymore! Neither NISSAN or Continental would do anything about the tires. Replaced all four with GOODYEAR ASSURANCE. Re-aligned front end AGAIN as NISSAN could not get it right. After removing the old tires, we stacked them up and looked at tread wear patterns. It was obvious that the tires were not round, just like I had told both NISSAN and CONTINENTAL.

Best midsize for the money

Pros:

- Great power (250hp/249tq, 0-60 in about 6 secs)
- Very good handling (for a midsize)
- No rattles or other annoyances
- Comfortable ride. Not like a Cadillac but it's not meant to be.

Cons:

I've had absolutely no issues. Yes, the paint is a bit soft and nicks and scratches easily but I am a fanatic when it comes to washing/waxing so I haven't found it to be a huge problem (yet).

The only thing that might be a con for those not used to it would be torque steer. However, I'ved found that by lowering the car an inch, this has decreased drastically. The fact is, many FWD cars have this problem. It's the nature of the beast.

Review:

I've owned my 2005 Altima 3.5 SE (smoke color) for exactly 1 year now and I couldn't be happier. Having owned almost exclusively Fords for the last decade, I have to ask myself why I waited that long to go with a foreign make. I'm much happier. All I can say is, at least once a week someone comments on how good the car looks.

Pros:

ride, comfort, style, roominess, fuel economy, power

Cons:

Seat are better than average, but would have liked a firmer drivers seat (just my preference)

Review:

Very sweet car. After driving AND FIXING multiple domestic cars (Chevy, Dodge, & Pontiac's) Finally caved and bought a 05' Altima w/ 8000 miles. What a switch. Went looking for a Camry but like the bigger Altima. Getting 26-28 mpg in the city and 30-34 mpg on the highway.

Road noise is greater than the Camry, but much less than the Cavalier, Sunfire, Grand Caravan or Startus that we've had in the past.

All around the best car in it's price range! (Saved several thousand dollars over a Camry or Accord)

EVERYTHING!! This car is great. I will not drive anything but a NISSAN!!

Cons:

VERY POOR STOCK TIRES-Touring continentals are worthless-Try Michelin Exalto!!

Review:

After reading these reviews I feel like I must be driving a different vehicle. Purchased in June 2004 and have put 42k on and it still drives like it did when I drove off the lot!! I have had no problems other than the Continental tires which are worthless-(tread wears well but to much road noise replacing this week with Michelin exalto)! I have the 2.5 SL model and it has a lot of power for a 4cyl and 28 to 32 mpg! Absolutely no problems with transmission or other major mech. Some issue with windows being loud but fixed promptly by Nissan Service.

Pros:

Sporty Look, Fast

Cons:

POORLY MADE, Car sounds hollow, Tight steering

Review:

Purchased my '05 2.5S in April '04. It has a spoiler, leather & tints, REAL HOT! The bad side: paint & interior console scratches easily, had to return it twice for road noise -dealer had to re-adjust the rear doors (helped somewhat), rough ride- I feel every crack/bump on the road, major static in the radio, backs of leather seats are peeling off!- 2nd time returning to dealer for faulty leather installation problems, will be going in for the 2nd RECALL since owning it next week -for Bushings/Rear Sub-Frame
