Pros:

The exterior I love.

Cons:

I'm so used to sporty, small cars and it is a bit large for me! Also the rattling, the engine light..possibly engine damage...and the odor!!! The BAD SERVICE AT THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE SALE, WYLER NISSAN IN CINCINNATI OHIO!

Review:

Well my 2005 has 7000 miles on it after one year... I have been getting a strange odor and the car rattles badly... After reading some of the reviews and recall info, I see that it is possibly the tires... Also, the check engine light has came on twice...I see the recall for the valves and possible engine replacement...just great! I also am having problems with it cutting off, all the electrical was on but the engine would not turn over... I cannot believe that all of these recalls were out prior to me purchasing this vehicle! They sold it to me anyway!!! That sucks!!!

Pros:

Looks great and performs well in bad weather. Fast car. Accelerates well.

Cons:

Looks aren't everything. Poor customer service. Struts suck. Passenger seat upholstery not attached under seat. Hood sticks. Lots of road noise. Bose stereo doesn't get good reception. Did I mention customer service sucks!?

Review:

I loved my Altima for the first year, even though I had to put in shop for loose dash panel.Now,18 months later, I am trading for a Toyota and will never do business with Nissan again! Struts went bad in Aug, Nissan wouldn't replace, we aren't "preferred customers". Cost $500 to replace. They knocked it out of alignment-another cost to fix because they refused. A week later had to replace tires. Now struts are bad again,6 months later. Again they won't replace. Customer isn't important to Nissan. DON'T BUY A NISSAN!

Pros:

Great V6
Plenty of Space

Cons:

Nissan Service
Uncontrollable semi-manual shifting.
Tire and rim vibration.

Review:

Purchased in Sep 05 (35K now). Moderately satisfied with the performance and creature comforts. However, I have experienced many of the same problems as posted on this site... Wheel Vibration for example. It took 5 trips to the dealer and finally I had to show them a copy of the TSB to convince them something was wrong. They replaced two visually warped rims which improved the problem but has not resolved it 100%.

2nd Altima this year -05-

Pros:

Good acceleration, Good cornering, Good braking

Cons:

Tire vibration, Excessive tire noise, Steering wheel shake, Seems to shift gears at strange RPM levels, Feels like transmission tries to shift into gear by reving engine slightly (automatic) (strange), My Honda was smooth as silk

Review:

Yes i'm on my second Altima. The second one has the same problems the first one had. Vibration in the steering wheel at 60 mph and only 8,000 miles and tires making wierd noises at different speeds. I think they should have a recall if i've had the same problem show up in two different cars.

Pros:

GOOD POWER FOR A SEDAN. GREAT ENGINE.

Cons:

BUILD QUALITY, NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE. CHOPPY RIDE.

Review:

THIS HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE. SINCE WEEK ONE THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 22 TIMES OVER THE LAST 15 MONTHS. BROKEN STRUTS 3 TIMES. SOMETHING WITH THE STEERING SLIDE RACK, VIBRATION. FOR WHICH I DID GET A NEW SET OF MICHELINS ON NISSAN. DOOR MOLDINGS AND RUBBER, REAR SUBFRAME SOMETHING, RE HANG EXHAUST, RADIO. ON AND ON. HAD NISSAN ENGINEERS TEAR APART MY CAR FOR A WEEK. ALL THIS WHILE IM TRYING TO TOTE AROUND MY 3 YEAR OLD CHILD AND MOVE CAR SEAT IN AND OUT. NOT CONVENIENT AT ALL. AND NISSAN NORTH AMERICA HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CARE AT ALL. I TRIED TO TAKE IT BACK FROM WEEK ONE. UNFORTUNATELY MY STATES LEMON LAW IS WORTHLESS. AND NOW MY 0-60 TIME IS ABUT 2 SECONDS OFF WHAT IT SHOULD BE. I HAVE THE 3.5 SE. OH AND THE AUTO TRANSMISSION HAS THE REFLEXES OF A TURTLE. GOING BACK TO HONDA/ACURA. SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT.

Transmission shifting

Pros:

Styling/looks, horsepower, ride.

Cons:

Transmission/shifting

Review:

I recently purchased the 2.5S '05 Altima. I am pretty well pleased with the look and ride/performance of this car. But am a little put off by the transmission shifting awkwardly at times. Sometimes at low speeds and attempting to down shift (auto trans) I experience a strong hesitation, then it pops into gear.
