Pros:

GREAT GAS MILEAGE, GREAT LOOKS, GREAT FAMILY CAR YET STILL SPORTY

Cons:

VIBRATION IS HORRIBLE CAN'T ENJOY SUNROOF DUE TO NOISE FROM SWAY BAR POPPING

Review:

I PURCHASE THE 2005 ALTIMA 3.5 SE IN MARCH. WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE CAR I LOVED IT. GREAT LOOKS, GAS MILEAGE AND GREAT FAMILY CAR. THEN THE I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR AN ALIGNMENT FOUND OUT THE REAR SWAY BAR WAS OUT OF PLACE. IT HAS BEEN PUT BACK IN PLACE 4 TIMES AND BUSHINGS REPLACED 2 TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. I HATE A CAR THAT VIBRATES NISSAN HAS BEEN SUPPOSE TO MEET WITH ME FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS.

Pros:

Looks good sitting still

Cons:

Just because it has a 160mph speedo don't get though of being a Honda killer in your head

Review:

At 75mph and above the steering wheel and front seats feels like a vibrator. Nissan rebalanced the front wheels but that didn't work. I've had this car 2 weeks and its not getting any better. If you run the car to 100mph be prepared to hang on with both hands. I wish I had my 1997 Pontiac sunfire back, at least I knew it would run to 106mph . It would take it awhile but no vibration.

Pros:

Powerful engine, big size in and out.

Cons:

Not too comfortable inside when the outside air is around a comfortable 68 degrees and inside venting air is 10-15 degrees warmer, so either open windows or turn on the ac, that sucks! Big turning radius. Windshield has deformation on passenger side since the year 2002.

Review:

2005 3.5L SE, good performance, there is lag, a 2002 professional review noted windshield passenger side had a deformation in the glass and it still is there! Biggest problem I have is the cold vent air is warm compared to the outside temp guessing about 10-15 degrees warmer also noted by other Altima owners which means more open window and ac operation.

Cons:

BAD TRANSMISSION!!

Review:

I like this car but unfortunately there is really weird transmission problem with Nissan Altima 2005. when I put gas, car jerks while shifting from 1st to 2nd gear (automatically) and Nissan service people just don't care. I went there twice and they say we have fixed the problem but still car has the same problem. overall it's good car but service really really really stinks. i wasted couple of days for nothing.

Pros:

It's hot, sleek & it smells great. Good pickup, sturdy & sound ride.

Cons:

well, the transmission was bad!

Review:

I bought a 2005 Altima, brand new, and the transmission is bad.
I asked for a new car, but Nissan refused.
They did replace the transmission (under warranty) & offered me an additional extended warranty as a good will gesture, but the wind is knocked out of my sails and I really think Nissan customer service stinks.

Pros:

Interior space is good, what I would expect of normal sized American car like the Tarus. Nice interior design with knobs and console. Was able to get just what we wanted in a car albiet we had to order and wait several moths.

Cons:

Interior materials feel a bit on the cheap side. Industrial grade plastic quality look and feel. Solid though, nothing feels like it will snap off. Hard shifting from 1st to 2nd (manual). Brakes are on the mushy side. No limited slip, car has major torque steer when pushed. For people with bad backs, only the drivers seat is truely confortable. Had to order a manual with the abs/sab package because it didn't come standard. That should be standard in all cars, ordering one should be an option for thoes that don't want abs or side air bags.

Review:

After 6 months, no real huge complaints. We'll have to see how this car fares. Love the color (sonoma sunset) Love the interior space and it's fast. Did I mention its a fast car? I chose the 3.5se over the se-r because of the price/features. I think I made the right decision. I would never have paid 30k for an Altima regardless of what was in it. I paid 23k after all was said and done for the SE. Also, we looked at a Maxima, although we thought it would be too difficult to park because of the restricted back view. We should have owned one if not for that.

Pros:

Looks great. Awesome handling. Lots of trunk room for speakers. Great value. Very dependable.

Cons:

A little uncomfortable while sitting long periods. Its not a sport car, why so uncomfortable. They could have done better

Review:

I just recently purchased a brand new (only had 6 miles on it) Nissan Altima. In my opinion, this car is awesome. I have a 5 speed 2.5 but this thing can run down a V6. It handles very well and is good on gas. The only problem I see is that, the dash board on the driver side has a little rattle to it. you can barley hear it. I just know its there. great car for the money.

Pros:

Looks. That's about it

Cons:

90% of the car

Review:

Bought my Altima 2.5S 10 months ago. Been in shop 6 times.
1. Front strut (left) was changed;
2. Driver's window regulator. Glass was not tighten to a regulator (2 separate problems);
3. Radio reception. Radio was changed;
4. Front strut (right) changed;
5. Auto trans acting strange.
Harsh shift from 1st to 2nd. Feels like about to loose tranny while driving.
Did not do anything in the shop.
6. Same with tranny. Now Nissan has bulletin for it, but still shop will not do anything about it.

What else? I think tire problem. But my vin # is not in the range with bulletin. I hate this car. I really do.

Pros:

v6 fun to drive

Cons:

ride is harsh in city.

Review:

05 se auto is very rough riding in city. ac control (compressor stays on) is a pain in warm weather. Bose stereo radio reception not good all the time. I don't like Bridgestone tires.
