Pros:
Style, power, lots of storage compartments, standard spray on bed liner,
utility channels in bed, ground clearance, extra space behind front seats,
utilitarian interior, reasonable gas mileage for a 4x4. it's a real truck,
not an urban cruiser!

Cons:
stock sound system sucks. comes with 4 paper speakers and sounded like a 1960's transistor radio. one jumpseat in back wouldn't
stay up.

Review:
Have driven my NISMO for a year (30,000 km.) in a lot of different
conditions found here in Eastern Ontario, Canada. From cold of -30 C. to
heat of +40 C. Never failed me in these extremes. This mid-size brute felt
smoother and happier on rougher country trails than on smooth pavement. Got
lots of looks from Ford, Chev & Dodge drivers. Envy perhaps? The styling
puts the others to shame. Power? Yep...more than enough to get out of
trouble a few times. A great drive in the snow. Not really a 1/4 miler, but
surprised a few Hondas & whatevers. Just traded this beauty
for an '06 Titan 4x4 w/offroad & towing packs. Hope I'll be as happy. NISSAN
trucks rule!

Well I have had a 89 nissan pick up 4x4 and a 92 pathfinder 4x4 and all I have to say is WOW My friend is a Toyota fan and he is even
impressed, only because I beat his full size tundra v8 with my mid size v6

Questionable build quality. It has more ticks clunks squeaks and rattles than my '82 suburban diesel with 340k.

Review:
Had my 05 XE for two months now and I love the trucks handling and
style, little choppy on the freeway but ok its a truck.
I fell in love with the frontier in 04 when i saw the first ads for them and
I had to have one.
What has ruined it for me is my hood that rattles and squeaks like crazy,
the front end clunk i get going over large bumps, the two screws missing
from my tail gate protector, the ticking i get under acceleration, and the
dealership that says nothing is wrong.
I know this is year one for this truck but come on you got to test this
stuff (or at least, if we got to spend a fortune to be you're guinnea pigs,
give us first-year buyers awesome trade values if we decide to upgrade in a
couple years for the debugged versions)
My only general build complaint is how easily the interior plastic
scratches.

Too much hard plastic (especially the doors), too many rattles and squeaks, a few quality issues, 6 speed manual does not make
smooth shifts.

Review:
I love my truck (05 SE 4x4 V6 Crew Cab) but have had some minor glitches
that I think were probably worked out by the 05 model. I have had the VAIS
engine noise problem, A bunch of squeaks and rattles (one behind the dash
under acceleration that I and the dealer cant get rid of), and grinding when
shifting which the dealer says is normal. I love the power of the truck and
it tows well (I have a 2200lb trailer) and the looks are perfect. If Nissan
could just get a few of the final touches right I would be perfect. This is
the same as my wife's G35 Coupe. Incredible car but a few minor issues that
keep it from being perfect.

Review:
I Ordered this truck in the 01/05 and took
delivery in march. After 8k miles, the truck's trans blew. The truck had
more rattles than my 97 dodge diesel. I S/O this truck with XM and Nissan
could never get it to work. I finally got to the point I was not driving the
truck because of all the problems and driving my dodge. I then traded it in
on a Tundra.
I loved the power and the truck could go anywhere I wanted to with the
Nismo Package. Handles great on and off road, but just could not stand to
listing to it rattle.
