Pros:
V6 power and 5 speed auto trans, overall fit and finish. GREAT LOOKING TRUCK!!!

|
Cons:
Passenger seatback that keeps popping loose, dealer to repair.

Review:
This is my 1st "non Detroit" truck. Took me several months of research
to make a decision on which truck to by, and the Frontier won hands-down!
Great truck for towing my work trailer, you don't even know it's there! I
gained 110hp over my '95 S10, and the gas mileage stayed the same. Am very
pleased with the V6 and the 5 speed auto trans. Have 4500 mi. on truck and
have already switched to full synthetic oil and filter, mileage is steadily
increasing. Have tinted the windows and installed an ARE tonneau cover on it
and the compliments just keep coming. Most people mistake it for the Titan.

Pros:
* Firm, predictable handling. Excellent steering feel--no vagueness,
touchiness, or numb spots.
* Responsive, powerful drivetrain with decent gas mileage.
* Outstanding bed utility package.
* Well-thought-out interior, standard equipment, and sensible option
packages.

Cons:
I remain skeptical of highly computerized vehicles (not just Nissan's). Time will tell if they are more trouble than benefit!

Review:
I own a 4WD KC NISMO 6-speed, bought at the end of March 2005.
I drove the truck home from the dealership in an early-spring storm with
snow coming down sideways. I worried that the high torque might cause some
"misbehavior" on the last 9 miles home, which are all uphill on narrow
winding mountain roads including one unpaved road with an average 15% grade.
But the truck remained surefooted and easy to drive, in 2WD no less.
The truck now has about 9400 miles on it, with towing duty (light weight)
about twice a week from spring through fall.
I had some bedliner defects and a rattle from the intake manifold (both
fixed under warranty), so I can't say the truck is "perfect" (have never had
a vehicle that was). However, I am very happy with it and hope to keep it a
long time. If you want a vehicle for intense 4-wheeling, a largish truck is
not the best thing. If you want one to carry heavy loads in the bed or pull
large, heavy trailers, this is not the best choice. But if you want a solid
all-round truck with decent mpg that is FUN TO DRIVE, the Frontier should be
on the top of your test-drive list.

Review:
Bought the fronty in Jan. 05. I was always a Toyota buyer and planned on
the 05 Tacoma. Test drove both trucks and gave the nod to the frontier, much
better handling, felt more solid and less noise. I took a chance with
reliability and so far I am very pleased that I did. Can't find a bad word
to say about my Fronty , just the best all around truck I have owned or
driven.

Review:
I toiled over whether this truck was worth the price tag and didn't feel
great about driving out of the dealership. I now have about 500 miles on it
and can say with confidence it is the best handling 4X4 vehicle I have every
driven. Time will tell on reliability, but this truck a has power, handling
and breaking combination unlike anything I have ever felt in a pickup, and I
have owned many. I wonder what it feels like off the road. Nissan
engineering really nailed the overall package and should sell a ton of these
babies. If it holds up at all over time I will buy nothing but Nissan from
now on simply because of the high quality feel of this 2005 Frontier. Also,
what a sound system! There is no room for a sub woofer in the back, but you
don't need it. With the right digital recording the stock system will blow
you right out of the cab. This is the type of vehicle that gets you up a
little earlier in the morning so you can take the long way to work, despite
rising gas prices. Some other great features that don't really jump out at
you until you use them are the bed extender, spray in bedliner and
multi-track tie down system. These are things I wish all my previous trucks
had and are really slick to use. I'm way over the hundred word maximum,
but this truck deserves it.
Happy in NH.....

Cons:
no ashtray...wimpy horn

Review:
Truck has a wimpy horn. Would like to know how to adjust (louder). There
is a +/- on the horn plastic covering but I am afraid that I will break the
plastic if I try to remove it. There should be a in-dash ash tray. I don't
need Nissan to tell me if I should smoke. I never noticed there was not an
ash tray when I bought the truck. I might not have.
