Cons:
Warranty is too short |
Review:
I had problems with the driver's side
window regulator 3 times. Customer relations told me they can't do anything
because it's now out of warranty. BBB said the same thing. Now at 59,000
miles, the fuel sending unit has gone out. They always ask if I purchased
the extended warranty... shouldn't the 27k I paid for the car keep it
problem free for AT LEAST 60k miles? I filed a claim. Do the same. |

Review:
The air conditioner in my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder has a line break
somewhere in the back of the car, and the dealer's repair shop estimates it
will cost me $1,000+ to repair it...it is in such as bad spot that they will
have to unbolt my car frame from the chasis just to get to it. I called
Nissan Customer Relations (what a joke) and they arbitrarily have refused to
take any responsibility for this defect. Has anyone else had this problem?
Time to call Nissan Corporate and the Chairman and raise some hell...and
time to file a complaint with the WV Attorney General Consumer Affairs Dept. |

Purchased the Pathfinder, and have had to
look at the check engine light when it passed the warranty period. The fuel
sending unit went out, causing the DTE and gas guage to show empty. Please,
if anyone else has this problem, call 1-800-NISSAN-1, to tell them your
problem, so they can make a claim. As the number of calls get higher, the
more likely the issuance of a recall!! |

Review:
This is my 2nd Nissan and I always thought they were dependable, boy was
I wrong! I had problems with my 2005 Pathfinder from the beginning. The dash
always rattled and it reminds daily of how cheap this truck is! All window
controls failed, the drivers side window constantly popped out of alignment,
the CD and DVD player failed, the check engine light comes on all the time
and the heated seats sometimes work and sometimes don’t. But the killer is
at 61,000 miles (1,000 miles out of warranty) the dealer tells me the timing
tensioners are bad and the engine may have a complete failure. Cost = $2,200
cash! Wait a second, why didn't you tell me this before my warranty expired?
I know why; because this truck is $%#^&@*^ and the dealers are crooks. I
later discovered a service report regarding timing tensioners failing! I
contacted Nissan directly and they laughed at me and said "Good Luck". After
lots of thought on whether to cut my losses and sell the truck, I decided to
fix it and ride it to the end. God, I hope it makes it to 1000,000 miles! If
money wasn’t so tight, I would sell this truck ASAP and buy a Toyota, or
something. Bottom line...Don't buy Nissan! |

Looks great when shined up and waxed. |
Cons:
Hope you like staring at a check engine light, and have lots of extra
cash for repairs laying around. |
Review:
I decided to put a review out there in hopes it will prevent someone
else from the situation I and many other 2001 owners are in, namely, at
roughly 75,000 miles this vehicle turns into a P.O.S. It pretty sad that
you can find owner after owner with the same issues. I only hope these
things have improved in recent model years, but I for one am done with
Nissans. |
