Pros:

Could be a good car

Cons:

Constant pulling to the left on the highway. Nissan not fixing defect.

Review:

I leased a 2008 Versa Hatchback SL in Montreal, Quebec in july 2008. The car pulls to the left constantly on the highway whether I am on the right or left shoulder of the road. I have to constantly fight the steering wheel that wants to go left. The local dealership tried several times to rectify the defect by doing several wheel allignements, replacing the steereing mechanism and replacing one tire until the Versa run out of the warranty. Once out of warranty they wanted me to pay to continue with theyr useless attempts to fix the problem. I find it very dangerous to drive this Nissan Versa that wants always to go left. One time that I took my hands off the steering wheel for a split second on the highway 20 from Ontario to Montreal on a strech of road reduced to one lane because of road repairs the Versa hatchback weered to left very rapidly and it hit a cone rubber pilon with minor cosmetic damage to the front left side of the car and left rearview mirror. The service manager at the dealership scolded me saying that I am not supposed to ever let go of the steering wheel. In my 49 years of driving several cars I never had this problem. He should know that no cars should pull so hard to the left. I just found out that this is a well known problem by Nissan (check tis out: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/versa/4007-versa-veers-left-right.html) and they choose to argue and fight with the customer to save money and not fix the defect.I wish I had known this before I leased this peace of japanese junk. I have 4 years left on the lease and I feel very much taken by Nissan in leasing me a car with such a terrible defect. Like the motto on the Quebec licence says "Je me souviens" and I let all the people that ask me how I like my car know.

Pros:

peppy, responsive steering

Cons:

rattles in dash

Review:

We love this car EXCEPT for the rattles. The dealer has tried to correct this problem but we still have issues with rattles from the front dash. Besides that, the car runs fantastic. Comfortable ride, good fuel consumption and lots of room.

Pros:

You honestly don't feel like you're driving a compact...Great value, Great car!

Cons:

Haven't found any.

Review:

I love this car! I am very impressed with the features offered in such a small package. Honestly when I'm driving it doesn't feel like a small car (and I came out of an 8 yr old Taurus). I got the CVT which is totally different than than the 4AT as far as ride, pickup. I test drove the 4AT 1st(as it's cheaper), but didn't like it at all. .pickup way too slow and noisy. I seriously considered the Honda Fit, but the Versa fuel tank is 3 gallons larger & many of it's options such as intelligent key (wonderful for women. .no digging in your purse for a key to unlock doors or even start car), Bluetooth (also wonderful for women who hate digging in their purse for a ringing phone while driving. .just push the button on the steering wheel to talk) aren't offered on the Fit. Nissan dealer is 4 miles from my house for service too & Nissan had a 1.9% rate too =)

None, so far.

Review:

I absolutely love this car.  It's fun to drive and it really is a midsize car, very roomy, and classy. I really think I'm driving some big luxury car because it has a big car feel.  My husband (GMAC) man is very satisfied with this car. I was knocked off my feet when he said "I really like the look and the way it drives."  This is our 1st Nissan and 1st foreign car and we love our new Nissan Versa.
