Nissan to Export 60% of Electric Cars to U.S., Tokyo Paper Says
July 18 (Bloomberg) -- Nissan Motor Co., Japan’s third- largest carmaker, plans to export 60 percent of its domestic production of
electric cars to the U.S., the Tokyo Shimbun newspaper said, without saying where it got the information.
The company will probably export almost 30,000 of the 50,000 electric vehicles it plans to make at the Oppama factory near Yokohama
in 12 months starting later this year, the report said.
Tokyo-based Nissan will sell the rest of the cars in Japan, it said.
