Pros:

Still runs despite SES light being on.

Cons:

Too many to mention.

Review:

Seem like an almost reliable car. The SES light has been on more than it has been off. I constantly need oxygen sensors replaced. And the heater blows cold air at idle and if I slow down on the highway. Seems nissan has a bunch of issues with this car that they refuse to acknowlege.

He who expects nothing should buy an Altima

Pros:

Consumers think they are a great car.

Cons:

They are not!!!!

Review:

My wife's 04 is the clunkiest rattletrap Nissan I've ever experienced. The steering has always pulled hard when accelerating, the CD player was replaced 3 times, the suspension has always rattled like a buckboard, I replaced the brakes at 27,000 miles because the car shook like Charro when stopping. All these and other problems were shrugged off as "normal" by Thoroughbred NISSAN.

Cons:

tranny problems , parts are very expensive

Review:

bought this car and fell in love with it especially the power and comfort [3.5 se]. handling is good . but now i have a a slip in the tranny from 2nd to 3rd gear , found out just to start trying to fix the tranny it will be 1500 dollars to start and about 3000 for a remanufactured tranny . i started doing research on the tranny issue and lots of other people are having problems with there tranny's also . so yes the resale is lower on a Nissan which is a good deal but look into other cars when looking , i did the 1500 dollar repair and it only helped a little bit , now i am flipping the coin on whether to ditch this rocket of a car

Great body lines, good power

Review:

I bought the car used at 24K, and use as a daily commuter. Being somewhat of a 'tuner', this car has seen many aftermarket upgrades...Intake, headers, exhaust, suspension, and audio. Being in the automotive industry, this car does very well if kept up well, fluid flushes, fuel injection services, etc.
