Cons:

absolute piece of junk

Review:

I bought my 2004 Murano in 2008. It had 63k and I thought hell this is a Nissan and should be a good car. This is absolutely the worse vehicle I have EVER owned. Lets see if we have enough room to write the problems I have had.
1. The Gas door jams. Had to replace it. The 2nd one jammed. I took the interior panel out to access the latch when it jams. Not buying another one.
2. Struts went out at 90K. Really ??
3. Had to replace the transmission at 92K
4. 2nd transmission is now doing the same thing the first tranny was doing at 101k. The 2nd tranny made it
5. Had oil changed recently. Oil light is now coming on.
6. The drivers side seat is now broken. The seat sits at an angle. I weight 200 Lbs. I guess it can't handle that kind of weight.
For anyone considering buying a Nissan I recommend to run as fast and as far away from Nissan as you possibly can.

Pros:

I love the look, it's comfortably, smooth riding, roomy and the cargo space is great.

Cons:

Read my review. To many major part failures.

Review:

At 15K miles the transmission was replaced because it had a 2 to 3 second delay while pressing the gas to move forward then it would suddenly lurch forward. The battery died took it in for service and found out the alternator was recalled and I had to pay a pro-rated battery cost. Should have been free as part of the alternator recall. A year and 9 mo. and 29,300 miles later I have to replace the alternator again! At full cost! My previous 240SX lasted me 13 yrs with no problems. What happened to Nissan's quality?

Pros:

Great in snow and ice. Lots of leg room comfortable ride.

Cons:

Lousy transmission and a smell of anti-freeze after driving in 90 degree weather.

Review:

Several months ago I took my Murano in for a noise that I thought was coming from the transfer case. The dealer checked out auto and replaced the transfer case. After all this time the sound was still there. So they replaced my CVT with a remanufactured unit. Last week end the sound came back. (40,000 miles) I know that the car has a (60,000) drive tran warranty but I feel that the problem is not acceptable. Nissan will not get any more of my business.

Review:

I purchased my Sunlit Copper fully loaded SE, I drive lots of miles, replaced tires at 65,000, with Toyo Proxes. Replced brakes at 71,000, check engine light has never come on currently have 89,000 miles and it is still strong. Very comfortable and we enjoy the ride on long trips. Love the back seat because it reclines, great storage space even the mileage is excellent at 23 MPG. Heated Leather seats are great, Bose Stereo with cassette and six-disc CD. I purchased an extended Mechanical breakdown coverage up to 100,000 miles because I drive a lot, have only had to use it one time to replace an oil cooler @$486.00 but with 0 deductible it paid for itself. OUR FAMILY LOVES OUR MURANO!!!
