Review:

Back in January of 2006 I wrote a review on my Titan. Then it had 14,000 miles and had been to the dealership 8 times. Well since that time I have put 9k more miles on it and the new total for trips to the dealership is 14 times.
The drivers seat had to be replaced, and the rear sliding window was replaced due to the fact that Nissan forgot how to make a rear window that did not leak water into the cab. The paint is paper thin and chips easily.
My wife and I will be looking at replacing her 1998 Pathfinder this spring.
If you guessed it won't be replaced with another Nissan, you are right. We will be going to the Toyota Dealership to purchase an FJ Cruiser. And in
2008 I will be replacing my Titan with a Tundra.
By the way, Nissan Consumer Affairs doesn't care about their customers and lies to them.

This site opened my eyes to the Nissan customer service keeping the recalls and service bulletins quite.
Please tell everyone you see with a TITON to review these articles and be aware of the problems and go forward while it is still under warranty.
I have been happy with the TITON until recently (brakes/leaks above rear glass/ radio fading in/out ) I have 23K miles --all highway miles etc.
I was really surprised to see so many bulletins / recalls I was not made aware of by the Nissan company.
A bad experience with the Tacoma, Washington Nissan service writer has left a bad taste--I am thinking I will sell the Titon and look at the Honda Ridgeline--less power but better reputation by Honda.

Pros:

Awesome engine...power...power ...power, great appearance, well engineered, auto down/up windows, lights in bed area, transmission temp gauge, conveniences others just don't have.

Cons:

Squeaky interior (dash area, seats), open differential, rear side windows don't open.

Review:

I have owned Ford and Chevy trucks and this truck makes them look silly. Ford, Dodge and GM have a long way to go to get to this level. Toyota's are OK, but underpowered and just seem cheap (interior) with a higher price tag. The drivetrain in this truck is superior and so is build quality. I have had the usual brake problems and it was taken care of by the dealer and hasn't returned. I have never owned a vehicle with no problems. The interior engineers did their homework and everything is usable and where it should be. I can't say enough about this vehicle and how happy I am with it.

Pros:

Power, Power and more power. Roomy cab, great ride, handling, creature comfort, doggy mobility (my dog loves the easy entry with the back seats up).

Cons:

Cheap interior plastic scratches easily. Heavy tail gate.

Review:

I purchased my King Cab 2WD LE Titan in July 2004 and it has performed absolutely great. I have towed my loaded car trailer across the US from TN to Montana and many other states and it performed flawlessly!! Gas mileage loaded is better than most tow vehicles at 14 MPG. Recalls on the seat belt d-ring cover and tow wiring were a hastle, but Hunt Nissan fixed them quickly. I would buy this truck again and again. Drove the Toyota Tundra and the noise and AC vibrations drove me out of it quickly. The interior was also small. GMC was quieter but no power and less value. Ford came close but not enough power. Other trucks don't even compare to this work horse.
