I bought one several months ago. Added cold air intake. Car handles exceptionally well and is very fast. I love it!

Review:

Had SE-R for 2 weeks now. great show-stopper. Shopped around for 5 weeks, dealing with four dealers. Came down to two. Fireside (attleboro, mass & EasT Providence Nissan) Bottom line from Fireside, $27,200. End of month deal with East Prov. $24,500. WOW!!! I also asked four different tires. All rain, high performance tires, just will not work in Rhode Island. At first they were reluctant, but I ended with nice all weather tires, Cooper. SE-R handles great, color black not my favorite, shows all dirt, but a whole lot better than red. Mileage not too bad, I get around 28. All highway. Have been challenged by an Accord, and I waved to them. And hot GT Mustang, told them I did not want to waste my gas against a Mustang. Truth of the story is..just getting used to 6-speed, and bet you a penny to a dollar, I would of missed a gear.

Pros:

size, performance, looks, reasonable mileage for a v-6 with this much punch, drives and feels almost like a Z

Cons:

leather and some of the gee whiz appointments should be optional, offer a cloth seat version to reduce list price and Nissan would not be able to build enough for the demand

Review:

I have had my ser 4 weeks and so far it is great. You can't ask for a better all around car in terms of comfort, performance, room, aggressive but stealthy looks (in black) anyway. It is a showstopper. Every time I stop somewhere I have to let people look at it and explain what it is. Kids try to race me constantly. I have 300 more break in miles before I unleash the full potential of the car but shifting at 4000rpm max during the break in period leaves most people wondering what's under the hood.

WOW! What a great car. It is so cool! I love Nissan products and now that I have both an Altima SE-R and an '05 Pathfinder LE, I have the best of both worlds. I've owned a Sentra and two Maxima's. My daughter now owns an '04 XTerra.

I was on the interstate last week in my SE-R Altima and this kid wanted to race. Unlawfully and wrong I did it anyway. He had a Honda Civic (with the coffee can tailpipe) six speed manual. I had the 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R five speed manumatic. Lets just say while he made a bunch of noise, I was making speed. This is not the wannabe sporty Toyota Camary SE w/ sports package.
