Lack of memory on driver power seat Dreadful navigation system user interface

Review:

In general I'm quite happy with my 2013 Altima 3.5 SL. It's comfortable, it handles well, and it's quite responsive. I've had it more than a year, and it's had no problems and still looks and feels new.
BUT the navigation system is horrible. The user interface is worst I've ever seen. For example:
- You leave work, get in the car, and want to call home. But you can't, because it takes MINUTES for the system to initialize.
- Voice recognition takes multiple steps, through multiple layers of menus, to accomplish. You can't just say "take me home" or "call home." Instead you have to go through multiple steps to do the most simple task.
- The "My Places" feature embeds my places multiple layers deep--you select Nav, then Destination, then My Places, then the folder name for your places file, and THEN you can select your destination. But they're sorted by distance from your current location, NOT alphabetically by name! Who wants that?
Nissan should be ashamed for putting out such a piece of crap. I've owned multiple Nissans, but this will likely be my last.

This would be a great car if it wasn't for the engine noise.
My 2103 2.5S sounds like there is no oil in it when I start it. After a while the noise isn't as loud but is still there. I took it to the dealer and let it set over night so they could hear it after sitting over night. All they could say was this is normal. I can't see how they are selling these cars in cold weather if they sound like this.

Engine noise problem

Review:

The 2013 Altima is a beautiful automobile inside and out. I am somewhat disappointed in the CVT operation and the RPM that are required at lower speed levels. But most of all, the engine noise that I have asked the dealer to check is denied as a problem. I am told that I will just have to live with it. If I had known about this problem I would not have purchased a Nissan Altima 2.5.

Pros:

Everything

Cons:

7" Touch Screen keeps going off/Blank then re-appears? So far only one other person on the forum as experienced this glitch...give it time, it's still very new model and I'm sure more willl have this problem. Computers/screen problems of the time. I haven't taken it in for service yet, I wonder if they will find the problem?

My wife and I love the New 2013 Altima's style and ride. This is our 3rd Altima and is the best by far.

Nice style and extremely comfortable seats

Review:

Great car - SV trim -but with some initial quality issues. Had a loud pitched squealing noise which dealer said was from power steering motor & not normal. Dealer spoke w/ Nissan engineers who told them to check the power steering lines. They repositioned the high pressure line to the right strut tower, which was vibrating, and the noise stopped. Was also missing the stop on the driver's seat belt and whole unit needs to be replaced.

Pros:

Sleek and beautiful redesign, great accelation and interior quality with tons of useful gadgets thoughtfully laid out and easy to understand and use.

Cons:

For some reason the sunglass holder tray in the ceiling console is small and designed such that when opened the sunglasses fall out...not much of a deal breaker though!

Review:

I've always kept my cars for 8 or 9 years...until I saw the 2013 Nissan Altima that is. I had my 2009 Altima 2.5S in for an oil change and decided to check out the completely redesigned 2013 Altima in the showroom. My jaw literally dropped when I looked at the strikingly beautiful new shape which included very deep curves and strong lines highlighted with...yep...lots of chrome! The inside got my attention too with upscaled fabric and seriously cockpit like instrumentation with all the bells and whistles. The car had the NAV PACKAGE, REAR CAMERA, and MOONROOF...not to mention fog lights, auto-on/off headlights, climate control...and 17 inch alloy wheels...and I got my hands on this for just under $26,000 (rustproofing, paint sealant and tax excluded) The cabin is quiet, the acceleration of the 182HP four with the redesigned CVT inspires confidence and the engine noise is only really bothersome when you really floor it...not normal for me. My wife and I found ours elves driving around saying to each other over and over..."this is a nice car". The back seat is roomy and the Nasa inspired "zero gravity" seats work...I have back trouble and always got out of my 2009 Altima stiff after just a few minutes. After a 1.5 hr drive in the 2013 Altima, I got out and started walking like I never got in...with no stiffness or pain...WOW! This car does have one glaring weakness, it makes me want to keep cleaning it!
